| Raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, Chef Jon Anderson made his first foray into the restaurant industry with a desire to travel and learn from the best talent available. After graduating from the Culinary Institute in 1992, his first stop was Bouley Restaurant in New York City. Under the tutelage of David Bouley, Jon worked his way from Pastry to Entremitier. Jon also spent time at Petrossian and then at the Empire Hotel as an Executive Sous Chef. When the Trump Tower opened in 1998, Jon worked at the prestigious Jean Georges. Jon spent some time at the Ritz Carlton in San Francisco and then decided to travel and experience first hand some of the cuisines that shaped modern American cooking. In addition to traveling and experiencing the food cultures of Europe, he worked in Imona, Italy at the 2 Star Michelin rated San Dominico Restaurant. He had the privilege to cook alongside Chef Valentino Marcattilli, who was once apprentice to the legendary Paul Bocuse. Returning to the US, Jon worked for East Hamptom Point in New York as Executive Pastry Chef and then spent 2 years with the Masters Restaurant Group as an Assistant General Manager. Seeing a need for personalized chef services, Jon started Tasty Home Foods in Rochester, MN in 2003. He operated his business from Rochester for 3 years before moving to Charleston, SC, where he is currently owner and chef of la Cuisine Personal Chef Services. In addition to cooking for people in their homes, Jon loves teaching and sharing his knowledge of excellent cuisine. |
